CHICAGO - Saying that rapper Karizmatik is versatile is an understatement. The Jan. 29 release of his second album, “Durable,” is a 13-track blueprint of what makes Karizmatik’s artistry unlike other rappers.

“My style is a hybrid. It’s a little bit old school and a little bit new school that’s mixed together,” said Karizmatik. “But I do different types of things with my cadence and syllables. I mix it up with different types of flows. Some music may be rap or trap and sometimes Boombastic, mellow-type tracks. It depends on what mood I’m in and how the beat speaks to me.”

Using witty wordplay, Karizmatik strays away from trendy topics and relies on his energetic and passion-packed verses and hooks to rap about everyday situations and his mood. He is a versatile rapper who has experimented with many different flows and cadences. The collection of songs reflects the album’s title. “It’s like saying, ‘what does not kill you makes you stronger.’ You can get through life even though it has many hardships and different things you must deal with. You keep going, and that makes you durable,” explained Karizmatik.

“No Limitations” appears on “Durable” but was previously released. It is earned 58k+ streams on Spotify, signifying Karizmatik’s ability to reach listeners in his native Chicago and worldwide. The track features R&B artist Unique Soul, who is Karizmatik’s wife. “No Limitations” sets the vibe for the album with its “you can do anything” message.

As Unique Soul sings the hook, Karizmatik goes strong with his verses. “Don’t let nobody tell you that you can’t, and don’t let nobody stop you. There’s no limitations on what you should do as far as success or whatever you do within life. Stay determined and work hard. With a strong work ethic, there’s no limitations,” said Karizmatik, the founder of BankFlow Entertainment.

The track “No Time No Energy” is receiving positive reviews from fans. Based on reducing bad mojo in your life, “the single is when you try to get away from your life’s negative energy ‘cuz you don’t have time for it,” he said.

Another single getting early attention is “Eat Sleep Hustle Repeat.” The track is about grinding hard and hustling to find success, using multiple syllables, a catchy hook, and powerful punchlines to convey the message.
