Realxman Captivates The Club With His Latest Video for Single ‘Mesmerized’

Like a wizard waving a wand to cast a spell, DMV native Realxman, wields his own powers on his latest single “Mesmerized”, an upbeat, hard thumping track carrying a Bollywood inspired melody that gets you on your feet and turns any space you’re occupying into a dance floor. “I like to give good vibes to create good times. So this song in particular is about walking into a room and all eyes are on you. It’s about acknowledging that some people have a true mesmerizing affect, one that consists of magnetic energy that easily absorbs the attention of the room just by being present. I personally enjoy being one of those people. The ability to control the energy of the club and lure people to the dance floor is one my many super powers.” X says.

The single also comes with a video that lives up to Realxman's modus operandi of having fun while pushing limits of creativity and breaking boundaries. The video was shot in Los Angeles, CA by Zek Siris and it’s filled with choreographed dance, fire, and exotic snakes. Yes, snakes. One of which was over 100lbs and was renamed “Iridescent” by the artist at the video shoot. “We actually got in touch with a reptile handler who owned a variety of snakes. With 3 being my favorite number I wanted to select a trio with bold features to make sure this video was unlike any of my work prior. Though all uniquely beautiful my favorite is yellow one eyed snake, Wink. However the all were a pleasure to work with as I’ve never worked with snakes this large.” X said fearlessly.

It takes a lot of courage to be Realxman. As a black LGBTQ artist, being fearless and open about his sexuality is an important piece to his music career. “At first my mindset was, my sexuality is only one of the many compartments of me and not all of me. So I didn’t think it was needed to be my subject matter and headliner but as I keep evolving as an artist I now believe its bigger than me. I see how important it is for other aspiring lgbtq artists/ creatives, especially those of color, to have more people they can visibly see leaving their mark on the music/ entertainment industry. From there I felt inspired to adjust my outlook and make it known that I am proud of those parts of me.” X explains.

Realxman is not the kind of artist that's ok with releasing singles and just letting the music do it’s thing in the universe. He thrives off of engaging with his fans or his “community” as he likes to call them. He wants to meet his community and experience the interaction whether it be face to face at a show or by responding to comments or DMs. “I would rather have real genuine people who understand my artistry and don't mind going on a journey versus having people who want you to be stuck in one box, doing one thing repeatedly. If I’m ever asked to do one thing, I will choose the the one thing I do best, the unexpected.” X adds. In true Xman fashion keeping the party going is definitely a priority.
