A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie teamed up with Kai Cenat for a new video for “Did Me Wrong.” The video was released on Tuesday (Oct. 24) and features Boogie recalling a toxic relationship

Shots of the artist show him being controlled by a masked woman like a puppet, reminiscent of his first mixtape, Artist. In fact, several moments in the video seem to pay homage to other LP covers in his discography, such as Artist 2.0 and Hoodie SZN

Boogie can be seen in the video fighting for control of his actions as another unknown figure plots his demise with a knife. The Twitch streamer also makes an appearance in the video while the New York City rapper records his song in one scene.

“Did Me Wrong” was produced by S.Dot & 254Bodi. The song samples Isaac Hayes‘ “Ike Mood 1,” which was recorded at Memphis’ iconic Stax Records studio. Lyrically, the song follows the same theme as the video. The Highbridge artist recalls a failed relationship built on toxicity as he attempts to stand up for himself and his boundaries. Boogie also addresses naysayers and those plotting his downfall.

“I wrote this song for the last bi**h that did me wrong/I can’t believe your turned your back when I was all alone,” he sings. “The feds took my friends from me and I was on my own/They gon’ try to take our swag, but they could never clone us/The richest in my family, at nineteen, I grown up/Ni**as call for me and I don’t even pick my phone up/Don’t want no company ’cause lately ain’t been feelin’ no one/They plan on slumpin’ me, but comfortably, we keep it on us.”

“Did Me Wrong” appears on the EP, B4 BOA, which was released on Sept. 8. Along with “Did Me Wrong,” the project includes “Booby Trap” and “Her Birthday.”
