Armenian-American rapper R-Mean set out to create a summertime anthem, and he nailed it with “Chapo’s Daughter.” The track, produced by his longtime collaborator and legendary hitmaker Scott Storch, shows off the undeniable chemistry between the two. With a breezy, woodwind-driven beat that radiates tropical energy, R-Mean delivers verses celebrating the finer things in life, especially the gorgeous women in his world.

But this dynamic pair isn’t holding it down alone for this confident, boast-filled track. Joining the lineup are Offset and hook king Ty Dolla $ign, adding their flavor to the mix. On Instagram, R-Mean shared his excitement about teaming up with what he called “a couple of goats,” with special appreciation for Ty. “I’m so proud to say that whenever I’ve had the chance to work with big-name artists, I always try to be in the studio together instead of just sending files back and forth,” he said.

“Of course, that’s not always possible, but we somehow make it happen! There’s a different kind of magic that happens when you’re in the room, bouncing ideas off each other in real time. It was an honor to work with one of the greatest of all time.”

You can feel the fun they had while putting “Chapo’s Daughter” together, from the playful songwriting to the relaxed, free-flowing performances.

The track is shaping up to be one of the standout moments when the deluxe edition of MEAN drops later this year. While the press release didn’t lock in an exact release date, fans can rest assured it’s on the way. The original project came out back on April 28, 2023, so the wait has been building.

That first version of MEAN was already packed with star power, featuring collaborations with Quavo, Jeremih, YG, Nas, and another guest appearance from Offset. Judging by the energy and talent on “Chapo’s Daughter,” the deluxe edition could be even more stacked.
