Offset has revealed that the last track on his upcoming album is about the end of his marriage to Cardi B.
The Migos rapper is preparing to release his third solo project, KIARI. The album’s closing song, Move On, was born out of his feelings following the split. Offset explained to the Associated Press that the song reflects acceptance and closure. "It's about moving on, like, peacefully. That's what the message is supposed to be," he said. "It's all love and peace. I just ended the album with that, to end that chapter because it's time to move on, it's over and done with."
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, described writing Move On as therapeutic, emphasizing that both he and Cardi B need to begin new chapters in their lives. The couple first married in 2017, but Cardi filed for divorce in 2020. They later reconciled but had an on-and-off relationship until Cardi filed once again in 2024. Together, they are parents to three children—seven-year-old Kulture, three-year-old Wave, and 11-month-old Blossom.
Reflecting on their marriage, Offset said, "It was great while it lasted. That shouldn't be the topic for either one of us anymore. It's a book that's closed." Meanwhile, Cardi confirmed in June that she had moved on, sharing a photo of herself on a yacht with NFL player Stefon Diggs.
Offset’s new album KIARI is set to be released on August 22.
