RM: BTS are working diligently on new album

BTS member RM has revealed that the group is “working diligently” on fresh music.

The K-pop icons confirmed their much-anticipated return last month, and RM has now spoken about getting back into the recording studio in Los Angeles after finishing his required military duty in South Korea.

In a post to fans on Weverse, the 30-year-old shared: “It’s already been a little over two months since I completed my military service.

“I’m here in Los Angeles, far away from home. I spend my days living, working, and playing alongside the members. It’s such a surreal feeling. It reminds me of ‘Bon Voyage Pyeongchang.’ Strange already, right... Anyway, I feel like I’m putting in the effort here.”

RM went on to assure fans that he plans to “devote” himself fully to creating the upcoming record with Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook.

He explained: “Creating something ‘together’ with these friends, I will dedicate myself to this moment. I want to express my gratitude. This is our next album.

“I’m searching for who I will become. Things I’ve overlooked for too long, and the moments we’ve all shared from afar. I hope it will carry a kind of beauty.”

Closing out his message to ARMY, RM wrote: “I miss you all. It has been such a long time… I promise I’ll be there soon. I’ll do everything I can until then. I love you.”

BTS officially announced their return last month, sharing plans for both a new record and a major world tour.

The “Dynamite” singers said: “We’re also preparing a world tour to go with the album. We’ll be meeting fans all across the globe, so we hope you’re as thrilled as we are.”

This upcoming release will be their first full album since 2020, and the world tour will mark their first time back on stage together since the “Permission to Dance on Stage” concerts in 2022.

The group had to pause their careers in 2022 due to the mandatory 18 months of military service required for men in South Korea.

BTS reassured ARMY on Weverse: “Starting in July, all seven of us will be working closely on new music.

“Because this will be a group album, it will represent each member’s feelings and ideas. We’re approaching this project with the same mindset we had when we first began.”
