Beyoncé and Jay-Z purchase new estate in the Cotswolds

Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z are preparing to spend millions on a stunning countryside estate in the Cotswolds.

The music icons are set to join the growing list of American celebrities who have chosen to settle in this much-loved British destination.

According to the Daily Mail, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are close to finalizing the purchase of 58 acres of land just outside Wigginton, after securing planning approval to build a residence there.

Owain Jones, a property consultant involved in the sale, shared that the land carried a guide price of 10 million dollars (£7.5 million). He added that once the home is completed, the estate could “be worth north of 24 million dollars (£18 million).”

Calling the Cotswolds the “Hamptons of the UK,” Jones explained to the outlet, “From the privacy of well-known members’ clubs such as Soho Farmhouse and Estelle Manor to the organic delights at Daylesford Farm, this area places you at the center of the Cotswolds’ most exclusive community.”

Property agents, who often describe the celebrities in the area as the “Chipping Norton Set,” have pointed out that the arrival of high-profile buyers has made this region the most desirable countryside location in Britain.

If Beyoncé and Jay-Z go through with the purchase, they will be only minutes from Great Tew, a village already home to several famous names.

The Beckham family and Ellen DeGeneres are among those who have already chosen to settle in the Cotswolds.

Earlier in the summer, Beyoncé and Jay-Z even took a helicopter to view another luxury mansion in this sought-after part of Oxfordshire.
