Selena Gomez has unveiled the music video for “In the Dark,” a track featured on the Season Two soundtrack of the Netflix romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This.
The nostalgic visual begins with Gomez dressed in a black leotard, seated on a white chaise, before shifting to more dramatic shots of her in a two-piece outfit and a sleek leather jacket surrounded by a hazy backdrop. “I’ll be there when you lose yourself. To remind you of who you are,” she sings in the Eighties-inspired song. “And I’ll be there like nobody else. You’re so beautiful in the dark.”
Gomez previewed the video earlier on Wednesday through her Instagram stories, sharing behind-the-scenes clips from the set and revealing that the entire shoot was completed in under eight hours. In one of the posts, she added, “Thought it be fun to add a little Revival to it.”
Just last month, Gomez and Benny Blanco tied the knot in a private ceremony in California, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Their creative history stretches back years, beginning with their collaboration on Gomez’s 2015 hit “Same Old Love” and continuing with “I Can’t Get Enough” in 2019 alongside Tainy and J Balvin. After confirming their relationship in December 2023, the pair released their joint album I Said I Love You First in March 2025.
Gomez also recently appeared on “Pick It Up,” a track from Cardi B’s second studio album Am I the Drama?, which arrived in September. The two previously joined forces in 2018 for DJ Snake’s global hit “Taki Taki,” which also featured Ozuna.
Meanwhile, Nobody Wants This makes its return on October 23. The Netflix rom-com stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, with a cast that includes Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, and others. The Season Two soundtrack includes 19 songs and features major artists such as Gomez, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, Finneas, Role Model, and Teddy Swims.
