As 2026 settles into its groove, Olivia Dean is clearly leading the pace. The Art of Loving has been named the UK’s Number 1 album for a second week in a row, marking its fourth week at the top overall.

In addition, The Art of Loving once again leads the Official Albums Vinyl Chart, selling more vinyl copies than any other release over the past week. With Olivia dominating the early months of 2026, the question now is whether anyone can knock her off the top spot.

Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend mounted a strong challenge but ultimately holds at Number 2 this week.

Fleetwood Mac’s 50 Years – Don’t Stop compilation continues its impressive run, reaching its highest chart position yet eight years after its release. The album climbs one place to Number 3, surpassing its previous peak of Number 4.

There is also notable movement for long-standing chart favourites Ed Sheeran, with +-=÷× (Tour Collection) rising four places to Number 6, and Alex Warren’s You’ll Be Alright Kid (Chapter 1), which jumps six spots to re-enter the Top 10 at Number 9.

Noah Kahan’s former Number 1 album Stick Season makes a strong return, lifting to Number 14 for its best showing since July 2025. Meanwhile, Linkin Park’s Papercuts compilation moves up five places to Number 16.

sombr’s breakout release I Barely Know Her returns to the Top 20 at Number 20 following his announcement as BBC Sound Of 2026 runner-up. Elsewhere, Eminem’s Curtain Call: The Hits continues its steady climb at Number 22, while Maroon 5 celebrate a milestone as Singles reaches a new peak at Number 27.

Marking what would have been his 79th birthday yesterday on January 8, and during the same week that commemorates ten years since his passing, David Bowie’s Legacy reappears in the Top 40 for the first time since 2022. The album surges 26 places to Number 30, making it the biggest climber inside the Top 40 with a 172 percent week on week increase.

With his much anticipated I’m Back Tour set for later this year, Pitbull sees renewed interest in his Greatest Hits collection, which jumps ten places to Number 31.

After sharing on a Kick livestream that he plans to release two new albums in 2026, Post Malone’s The Diamond Collection experiences a major boost, climbing 17 places to Number 37.

Rounding out the chart, two familiar favourites return to the Top 40, with SZA’s SOS landing at Number 39 and Teddy Swims’ I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy closing the week at Number 40.
