International DJ Beck Martin Keeps the Party Going with “It’s About Friday Night”

9 years ago, one of the most memorable performances on The X Factor UK was a simple song called “Friday Night.” The artist? A fun-loving, Prague-born, London-based DJ named Beck Martin.

In his X Factor introduction, he was asked, “What brought you here?”

The song, a collaboration with DJ Asym, was recorded in London at Metropolitan Studios. The production is slick, bringing major-label sheen to a song that began as spontaneous fun on reality TV.

The serious approach is paying off. The reboot reached number 7 on the UK Dance Charts, driven by a promo campaign that put the track into the hands of clubs and DJs across London.
