Cardi B has decided to step away from a heated exchange with one of Donald Trump’s advisors, saying her priority is protecting herself and her loved ones. The Grammy winning rapper found herself pulled into the situation after Alex Bruesewitz accused her agent of having ties to a company that uncovered thousands of bots promoting Nicki Minaj’s pro Trump content online.
At first, Cardi did not hold back. She called out Bruesewitz for implying that her representative, Mike "G" Guirguis, played a role in the situation, especially considering her long standing history with Nicki. The controversy traces back to a Politico report detailing the bot activity. Bruesewitz criticized the outlet for failing to mention Guirguis’ connection to Cyabra, a disinformation detection company that identified the bot network.
Cardi fired back, urging Bruesewitz to stick to the verified information and stop dragging her name into the narrative.
"Listen, you involved me in something that has nothing to do wit me so now we’re gonna talk about the facts. Cyabra is a data company with a lot of investors like Mike G, customers like Elon Musk and Pepsi that use that company for data and even has Mike Pompeo on the board of advisors.. so what you need to focus on is the fact that data is VERY real and leave me out of your bullsh*t.
She continued, "I do not have anything to do with that and I don’t give AF!! Now lie and say that’s not true!!! See what happen when you involve me in sh*t that don’t have nothing to do with me? I get down to the GRISTLE of it!!"
Cardi B Trump Advisor Beef
Mike "G" also addressed the claims, telling Complex, "[M]y advisory role and investment in Cyabra along with multiple other tech companies has absolutely nothing to do with Cardi B."
Still, Cardi later admitted she does not want to escalate things any further because she fears potential consequences. During a recent X Spaces conversation, she explained, "I don't even play that shit. I don't want no smoke with nobody from the fcking government, btch. I don't want no beef with no white folks that work in the motherfcking White House, because, God forbid, my motherfcking plane blow up [on] some weird sh*t. [Or] I get kidnapped [or] they play with my family."
She also shared that after responding to Bruesewitz, she felt targeted by his supporters online, which heightened her anxiety and pushed her to disengage. "It makes me feel like people that are in power and are in the White House is watching me and looking at me and stalking me. Motherfckers might be outside my hotel. …. Motherfckers probably have a satellite on top of my crib. So how the f*ck do you think I feel? I feel a little paranoid, because it's like, why me? I've been minding my business."
Bruesewitz reacted to Cardi B stepping back by mocking her on X, writing, "Thanks for playing, @iamcardib, and I appreciate you dropping your frivolous lawsuit threat against me! I forgive you!"
