Sabrina Carpenter has revealed that performing alongside Stevie Nicks was an emotional experience, saying the moment “healed many things” within her.

The Espresso singer, 26, joined the Fleetwood Mac icon, 77, for a surprise performance at the Met Gala on May 4, where the duo performed the band’s 1975 classic Landslide before following it up with 1977 hit Don’t Stop.

Sharing her thoughts on Instagram, Sabrina wrote: “Thank you Anna [Wintour], @voguemagazine and @metmuseum for having me perform and giving me a beautiful new friend @stevienicks.

“Singing together healed many things in me!”

The high profile collaboration arrived not long after Sabrina shared the stage with Madonna at Coachella, where they premiered their new song Bring Your Love from the pop legend’s upcoming album Confessions II.

Sabrina also encouraged fans of both artists to step away from their screens and enjoy the music in the moment.

Following the release, she posted on Instagram: "Thank you Madonna for inviting me to be a part of Confessions II.

"I hope you all enjoy it and take a break from phone and go out and dance!"

The track first made its debut during Madonna’s surprise appearance at Coachella last month, marking her first time returning to the festival in 20 years. During the set, Madonna and Sabrina, who has previously named the Queen of Pop as one of her inspirations, performed Vogue and Like A Prayer together in coordinated outfits before unveiling Bring Your Love.

The collaboration quickly became a major talking point online, with fans celebrating the unexpected pairing while also sharing theories about the sound and direction of Confessions II, the long awaited follow up to 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor that Madonna has been teasing for quite some time.

The upcoming album has been produced by Madonna alongside longtime collaborator Stuart Price, bringing the celebrated creative partnership back together once again. Confessions II is scheduled for release on July 3 and will continue exploring the dance focused sound that helped define their earlier work together.
