Tove Lo has officially unveiled her new album ‘Estrus’ alongside the seductive new single ‘I’m Your Girl Right?’ and a massive 2026 world tour announcement.
The Swedish pop star has now launched the era for her sixth studio album ‘Estrus’, which is scheduled to arrive on September 18 through Pretty Swede Records and Virgin Music Group (pre-order/pre-save here).
Tove Lo created the project with longtime collaborator Ludvig Söderberg, known for work with Lorde and Zara Larsson, alongside Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Kloser, who have collaborated with Addison Rae. The album will also include a guest appearance from French artist Stromae.
She recorded the album across Los Angeles, Stockholm, and a small fishing village in Sweden where she spent summers growing up. According to Tove Lo, many of the emotions behind ‘Estrus’ come directly from memories tied to that place: “Growing up, being depressed, struggling with my eating disorder, going through breakups, family drama, loss, everything.”
Speaking about the project, Tove Lo explained: “Estrus is an animal in heat. It’s primal. It’s my mind and my body wanting different things, wanting everything. There’s no good advice on this album… just a lot of feelings, no solutions.” Listen to ‘I’m Your Girl Right?’ and check out the complete ‘Estrus’ tracklist below:

We previously caught up with Tove Lo during the release of her 2024 EP Heat with SG Lewis. Speaking about the inspiration behind the project, she said the music was shaped by the “queer dance floor”, describing it as: “Love, freedom and liberation – with kindness. Not to like hate on straight people, but in a straight club, there can be a kind of aggressive energy.
“At least for me, when I’ve been in a queer club or space, it feels like there’s more of a kindness and respect in general. Even though people are way more naked and at times there’s a very sexual energy.”
