NCT 127‘s third album, Stickerhas arrived. After a year and a half break due to the coronavirus pandemic, the K-pop group released their highly anticipated third album first thing Friday (Sept. 17) to rave reviews from their fans. Though Sticker is already exceeding NCT 127’s expectations — it racked up more than 1.3 million pre-orders in just 24 hours following the album announcement in August — the group initially felt uneasy about their comeback, they revealed during a news conference on Thursday.

“We were pretty nervous and worried because it’s been a while since we made a comeback and we were feeling a bit uneasy about it,” group leader Taeyong said during the conference. “As much as we’re receiving a lot of great results and love, we’re ready to work even harder and are always working to improve ourselves, so I hope you’ll continue walking with us!”

Mark added that the group is “determined on showing an even better album” as they “spent a lot of time bringing this to life.”

NCT 127 sometimes struggle to process their level of success, but if they could chalk their acclaim up to anything, Taeyong says, “It’s probably our first tour” that really put them on the map as a force to be reckoned with. “Prior to the pandemic, we had the opportunity to travel and meet all of our global fans. We were able to show them our performances and who we are, and I feel like all of this was only possible because of all the love and support our fans showered onto us for. All that said, we really do look forward to meeting soon,” he added.

Sticker arrives a year and a half after their second studio albumNCT #127: Neo Zone, The 2nd Album, was released in March 2020. Their sophomore release peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart, where it remained for a total of 10 weeks.
