Reba McEntire has shared a heartfelt tribute to her late stepson, Brandon Blackstock.
The country music legend posted a moving message on Instagram on 12 August, reflecting on his life and the memories they shared.
“Last week, my stepson/oldest son, Brandon Blackstock, went home to be with God. His struggle is over, and he is in eternal peace in God’s presence,” wrote Reba, 70, alongside a carousel of photos capturing joyful moments between the two.
“There is no one else like him, and I’m thankful for the time we had together.”
Reba was married to Brandon’s father, film producer Narvel Blackstock, from 1989 until 2015, and they share a son, Brandon’s half-brother, Shelby Blackstock, 35.
Brandon, who worked as a talent manager, passed away last week at the age of 48 following a battle with skin cancer. He was previously married to singer Kelly Clarkson, 43, with whom he had two children: daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remington, 9.
Reba ended her tribute with a reflection on Brandon’s lasting impact.
“His legacy and laughter will be carried on through his family,” she wrote. “Rest in peace, cowboy. Happy trails to you ‘til we meet again.”
