The Last Dinner Party have unveiled their contribution to War Child with the new single “Let’s Do It Again!” lifted from the all star album HELP (2).
The release comes as the band continue building momentum following their celebrated sophomore record, From the Pyre. Cut at Angel Studios and helmed by James Ford alongside Animesh Ravel, the track leans fully into their signature sense of drama, delivering the grand, cinematic pop style that has fuelled their ascent over the last half decade.
Sharing their thoughts, the band said: “It’s such an honour to be included on this record for a cause that is so close to our hearts.
“The song is about the endless carousel of being in a relationship you know you shouldn’t be in, but giving in to the inexorable tug of returning every time you leave. We’d like to say a huge thank you to War Child for asking us to be a part of the project and to James Ford for producing us it was such a joy to work with him again.”
“Let’s Do It Again!” joins several major tracks already revealed from HELP (2), among them “Opening Night” by Arctic Monkeys and “Flags” by Damon Albarn, Grian Chatten and Kae Tempest.
The project also features appearances from Olivia Rodrigo, Pulp, Depeche Mode, Fontaines D.C. and many others.
HELP (2) acts as a contemporary follow up to War Child’s influential 1995 collection HELP, which brought together some of the most prominent artists of its time to generate funds for children impacted by war.
In the same spirit as the original release, HELP (2) seeks to highlight the pressing humanitarian emergencies affecting young people across the globe. Revenue from the album will go towards War Child’s initiatives, including crisis relief, schooling, mental health care and safeguarding for children living in conflict affected regions.
HELP (2) is scheduled to arrive on March 6 through War Child Records.
