Geese performed a cover of the legendary Stone Roses track ‘Fool’s Gold’ during their recent concert in Manchester. Watch the performance below.
The group, led by Cameron Winter, are currently touring across Europe and stopped at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse yesterday (Tuesday March 24).
During their live shows, Geese have made it a habit to include a cover section as part of their performance of ‘2122’.
At the Manchester date, they used that part of the set to celebrate hometown icons The Stone Roses, performing a short version of their 1989 single ‘Fools Gold’.

The moment follows a similar tribute earlier on the tour, when they performed Primal Scream’s ‘Movin’ On Up’ during their Glasgow show on Saturday (March 21).
“Glasgow, nice one. Here we fucking go,” Geese wrote alongside a video of the performance shared on Instagram. Primal Scream later reposted the clip and added: “Honoured ❤️.”
These live moments also follow Geese’s bassist recognising the late Stone Roses and Primal Scream bassist Mani during the 2026 BRIT Awards while accepting the Best International Group prize.
The tour continues tonight (March 25) with a performance at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town. You can find the remaining tour dates below and purchase any last available tickets here.
Geese’s 2026 UK headline tour dates are:
MARCH
25 – O2 Forum Kentish Town, London
AUGUST
26 – Barrowland Ballroom, Glasgow
SEPTEMBER
1 – Troxy, London
Before the Manchester show, the band posted a UK tour update on Instagram reflecting on their time on the road. “As we sailed into the beautiful shores of the UK, a wonderful sadness washed over me. ‘Fuck yeah the UK, up the UK’ I said. As I’ve spent countless sleepless nights here in the beautiful UK, I think to myself. ‘Fuck yeah the UK, up the UK’. Fuck yeah the UK, up the UK. London tomorrow. Free Palestine,” they wrote.
At other stops on the tour, Geese have also introduced a new track called ‘Apollo’, a psychedelic leaning rock song that fans believe may be connected to reports of some band members working in the studio with artists linked to Tame Impala, Pond and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard while in Australia earlier this month.
The track continues the direction explored on their third album, ‘Getting Killed’, which arrived in September and was later selected by NME as the best album of 2025.
“Who ordered this absurd, poetic explosion of jazz, rock and noise – where Radiohead, Black Midi, The Strokes, Van Morrison, and Ukrainian choir samples collide without being crushed beneath the pretension? It’s a rare, unpredictable record that comes with such melody in the madness, control in the chaos. It’s a total thrill, but then “all people must smile in times of war”, as Winter croons on ‘100 Horses’,” wrote NME.
“‘Getting Killed’ should be enough to wake people up from their exhausted nostalgia and realise that New York – and guitar music at large – is alive and kicking down their front door. At least, it’s easily the album of the year. Stay wild and carry on.”
In separate news, Geese also appeared on Saturday Night Live earlier this year. They performed as the musical guest on the January 24 episode, hosted by Teyana Taylor, where they played ‘Au Pays du Cocaine’ and ‘Trinidad’ from ‘Getting Killed’.
Earlier this month, Mac DeMarco and Winter were also seen singing karaoke together during a trip to Japan.
