Violet Grohl has cancelled two concerts in the UK this week after suddenly losing her voice.

The 20 year old daughter of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl informed fans just hours before her scheduled performance at Manchester’s Band On The Wall on Tuesday (25.08.26) that she could no longer take the stage.

Her show at Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on Wednesday evening (26.08.26) has also been called off.

Violet is still scheduled to appear at Reading and Leeds this week.

She is expected to perform at Leeds on Friday (28.08.26), before appearing at Reading on Sunday (30.08.26).

Between those festival dates, she is booked to play Ireland’s Electric Picnic on Saturday (29.08.26).

A message posted on social media read: “Hey everyone, really f****** bummed to have to let yall know I’m canceling tonight and tomorrow’s shows in Manchester and Glasgow.

“I don’t have a voice right now and it pains me to make this decision, but I just can’t perform.”

Violet’s representatives are currently trying to arrange replacement dates for both concerts as quickly as possible.

The performances were planned as part of the campaign supporting Violet’s debut studio album, ‘Be Sweet To Me’, which arrived in May.

Her father previously explained that he played no role in creating the record, which Violet made alongside producer Justin Raisen.

He told Radio X: “She made this album with a producer named Justin Raisen, and she did it on her own.

“She met the producer, and they would go to the studio every day and she would send me songs when she was finished. But I had absolutely nothing to do with this record at all.”

The 57 year old former Nirvana drummer admitted that he would have enjoyed being more closely involved, although Violet was determined to complete the project independently.

The ‘Learn to Fly’ musician said: “I’m the dad who wants to be there and know everything. And she’s just totally doing her own thing. It’s amazing.”

Grohl also revealed that Violet’s creative process helped inspire his work on Foo Fighters’ latest album, ‘Your Favorite Toy’.

He noted: “The way that they made that record and the energy of it, I was like, ‘Oh, man. I’ve just been inspired by my daughter’s debut album.’ It’s cool.”
