J. Cole Calls Off Show After Crew Member Dies

J. Cole has called off a scheduled performance after a member of his touring team died.

On Thursday afternoon, a spokesperson for the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, confirmed that a truck driver had lost his life in a road accident and that the Fall Off World Tour concert would not take place.

"Following the tragic passing of a member of the touring crew in a trucking accident this morning, J. Cole's performance at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento tonight, August 27, has been canceled," they stated. "Our thoughts are with the crew member's family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time."

People who purchased tickets will be given refunds through their original payment provider.

At present, there has been no confirmation about whether the cancelled performance will receive a new date.

The Sacramento Bee previously reported that the touring employee was operating a semi truck when it "veered off" the road and flipped over. He was pronounced dead at the location.

Officials in the area have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

J. Cole, whose full name is Jermaine Cole, is currently scheduled to appear in Oakland, California, on Saturday. The rapper has yet to release a personal statement regarding the heartbreaking incident.

The 41 year old still has 15 North American concerts remaining on the Fall Off World Tour before travelling to Europe, Oceania and South Africa later this year.

J. Cole issued his seventh studio record, The Fall Off, in February.
