Rod Stewart Plans His Final Tour for 2027

The 81-year-old singer has been performing on his One Last Time farewell tour since 2024. After more than six decades on the road, he plans to stop touring in 2027.

Stewart said The Final Encore will “most definitely be (his) last” rock ’n’ roll tour. He made clear, though, that he still intends to perform live.

“Ladies and gentlemen, after much deliberation and sadness, I have to announce that next year will be my last tour ever, ever, ever,” he said in an Instagram video on Monday. “I'm not retiring, but this will be the last rock n' roll tour. So I want to thank you for everything you've given me and hopefully I've given you something in return.”

The Maggie May singer ended the video by leaning over a piano, playing a few notes and calling out, “So please come out and see me on the tour! It's gonna be great!”

In a separate statement, Stewart thanked fans for making his “extraordinary life possible” and said he would give them “one hell of a show”.

“My dear friends, the time has come to say farewell to life on the road. After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last,” he declared. “I've been singing the music I love since I was 19 years old, and I've had the privilege of taking it around the world to all of you. It has given me a life beyond anything I could ever have imagined, and I hope I've given you some fond memories in return.”

The Final Encore begins in Dublin, Ireland, on 23 April and finishes in Hannover, Germany, on 24 July. The tour will also visit Belfast, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London.

The news follows Stewart’s cancellation of the remaining dates on his 2026 North American tour in August while he recovered from a routine coronary stent procedure.
