Jamie Miller has maintained his position at the top of the Official Singles Chart for a third week in a row with Babydoll. The Welsh singer continues to stay ahead of Tate McRae’s Housewife, which takes Number 2, and Ashe’s Stop The Wedding! at Number 3. Sienna Spiro also makes progress, climbing one place to Number 4 with Great Expectation.
One of the biggest highlights this week comes from Michael Jackson, whose Thriller has climbed 12 places to reach Number 5, setting a new chart record for the song 43 years after its original release. With a 74% rise in weekly consumption, the Halloween favourite has entered the Top 5 for the first time, beating its previous highest position of Number 9, achieved last year.
Halloween songs also made their presence felt throughout the chart, with several seasonal favourites climbing into higher positions. Ray Parker Jr.’s Ghostbusters landed at Number 12, while Rockwell’s Somebody’s Watching Me returned to the chart at Number 14. Tame Impala recorded the biggest climb of the week, as Dracula jumped 53 places to Number 15 following a 158% increase in consumption. Other spooky hits included Bobby 'Boris' Pickett’s Monster Mash at Number 19, Danny Elfman’s This Is Halloween at Number 22, and Andrew Gold’s Spooky Scary Skeletons, which reached a new career high at Number 23. Rihanna’s Disturbia also joined the seasonal comeback, re-entering the chart at Number 39.
Among the other Top 10 entries, sombr’s My Body Isn't Ready moved up to Number 9, while Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s former Number 1 hit Rein Me In remained steady at Number 10.
As Halloween season comes to an end, Christmas music is already starting to make its way back onto the chart. Wham!’s Last Christmas has returned at Number 54, followed by Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You at Number 82, marking the beginning of the yearly countdown to the festive season.
